A Day Away - But Not a Day Off!
Occasionally I'm asked if I ever take a day away from Wilsonville Honda. The answer is yes: every once in a while I don't come into the dealership, but that doesn't mean that something isn't going on! January 1st is the first day that I've not gone into the store for weeks. Instead I've spent my time doing things like cutting my son's hair:
taking a nap (it felt so good!), paying house bills, working with my daughter Caitlin (click here for her blog) on some creative things for our e-mails and the upcoming unveiling of our all-new website (I woke up this morning with an idea that I had to have her implement ASAP), creating this month's employee newsletter, and throughout the day, trying to resist my wife's unbelieveable cooking!
My mother-in-law is one of the world's greatest cooks, and my wife didn't fall far from the tree. I really should weigh somewhere in excess of 300 pounds. Genetically high metabolism, years of training, and great resolve have kept me somewhere a little more than at half that number. What's a guy to do when you walk into a kitchen filled with fresh baked cookies, biscotti, and more?!
So, it may be away from Wilsonville Honda, but it is by no means a day off! I hope you're enjoying yours!
