I mentioned in a previous posting that I worked in TV for a number of years. At the time this clip was made, I was working as a pit reporter for ESPN covering NHRA drag racing. One of my favorite segments came about as a result of my producer Shawn Murphy needing something to fill air time since it was raining like crazy and we were on live. NHRA drag racing is a spectacular sport – great people tuning and driving race cars that can eclipse 330mph in the quarter mile (0-60 in .2 of a second!), but when it rains, all on-track activity comes to halt. Well, with the rain coming down at Pacific Raceways in Seattle, WA., and with Shawn saying, "Hurry! Find something to talk about -- NOW!" I came across a couple of guys that had brought some of their chainsaw creations to the track, and the following clip says the rest!
